Who you are agreeing with

microloans.ng is published by Ranked Technologies Ltd (RC 9522220), a company registered in Nigeria. Using the site means you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use it.

This is information, not advice

Nothing here is financial advice. We do not know your income, your obligations, your family situation or what the money is for, and all four change the answer. What we publish is general information about how lending in Nigeria works, so that you can ask a lender better questions.

We are not a lender. We do not lend money, we never collect loan applications, and we do not pass your details to anyone. If a page ever appears to offer you a loan, it is not us.

The calculators

The calculators run entirely in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to us, stored, or seen by anyone. They do arithmetic on the numbers you enter and they show their working.

They are exact about the maths and know nothing about the lender. A calculator can tell you what 15% a month costs over six months. It cannot tell you whether that lender will add a fee it did not disclose, whether it will call your contacts, or whether you will still have the income to pay in month four. Use the number as one input to a decision, never as the decision.

Lender information

Where we describe a lender, a rate or a licence status, it was accurate on the date shown on that page. Rates change, licences are granted and revoked, and apps are removed from stores. Check the current position with the lender and with the CBN register before you commit to anything.

Naming a lender is not a recommendation. Describing a practice is not an accusation. Where we say something is unlawful or against platform policy, we link to the rule we are relying on so you can read it yourself.

Independence

Editorial pages are not for sale. Any commercial arrangement on the lender services side never affects what the guides, the glossary or the safety checks say, and we will not remove an accurate statement because a company asks us to.

Acceptable use

• Do not scrape the site for bulk extraction or republish it as your own.
• Do not use it to impersonate a lender or to build a lead list.
• Do not attempt to breach, probe or overload it.

You may read, quote and link to anything here with attribution. If a page helps a borrower, we would rather it travelled.

Availability

The site is free and provided as-is. We do not promise it will always be available and we may change or remove pages.

Limits of our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from use of this site or from a borrowing decision taken after reading it. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the Nigerian courts have jurisdiction. Before anyone goes to court, write to support@ranked.ng.

Complaints about a lender

We cannot resolve a dispute between you and a lender, because we are not party to it. If a lender has harassed you, contacted people in your phone, or charged fees it did not disclose, the routes that exist are the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission, the Nigeria Data Protection Commission for the privacy element, and the app store the app was installed from. We may update these terms. The date at the foot of this page shows when the page last changed.
