Free loan tools

Four calculators that answer the questions a lender will not answer for you. They run entirely in your phone. Nothing you type is sent anywhere, saved, or seen by us.

What this loan really costs

Turn “5% a month” into the real annual rate, including the fee they take off the top. The most useful number on this site.

Repayment calculator

What you pay each month and what you repay in total, on flat rate and on reducing balance.

Can I afford this?

Check a repayment against what you actually earn and already owe, before you sign.

Is this lender safe?

Eleven warning signs. Tick what applies and see how risky the offer is.

How these work. Every calculation happens in your browser using JavaScript that is part of this page. There is no server involved, no account, and no form that submits anywhere. Close the tab and everything you typed is gone. We designed them this way because a site telling you to protect your data would have no business collecting your income and your debts.

What these tools cannot do

They do arithmetic on numbers you type in. They do not know your lender, cannot see your contract, and cannot tell you whether to borrow. If the numbers you enter are wrong, the answers will be wrong with total confidence. Always check the figures against the written agreement, and ask the lender directly for anything you cannot find.

None of this is financial advice. If a loan decision is large or you are already struggling with repayments, speak to a licensed financial adviser, your bank, or a credit counsellor.
